He was one of the forty-four legal voters who organized the first town meeting in Norfolk, December 12,1758. Sarah Collins, his wife, was one of the original members of the Congregational Church at norfolk. The date of her death is not known but she was living at the date of Aaron Aspinwall's will, March 9,1782.

Served in Revolutionary War under Capt Titus Watson 1777 & 1779
