She graduated from Avilla High School in 1959 and from Ravenscroft Beauty College in Fort Wayne.

She married Jerry Lynn Freeman on October 2, 1960 in Avilla, Indiana at the E.U.B. Church and he preceded her in death on October 8, 1995.

Nancy was mostly a wife, mother, and homemaker raising her children during their growing up years. Later on in her life she and her husband owned and operated SunBrite Dry Cleaners and Laundromat in Kendallville and Albion. She worked at Jayco in Middlebury, the Kendallville News Sun in marketing and subscription sales, and most recently as a door greeter at the Kendallville Walmart. Nancy was a member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Kendallville and she was an active missionary with Amazing Grace Missions. Nancy loved reading, playing the piano, sewing, and jigsaw puzzles. The driving concern of her life was leading people to Christ.
